Alina Fox

Daniel Gramsch is a Berlin comic artist, who developed an interest in American superhero comics during the 1990s. He created his comic character 'Alina Fox' in 1997. Her adventures appeared regularly on the internet from 2001, and in print from 2002.

He got his first professional assignments after meeting Jörg Pitschmann and Guido Neukamm. He then illustrated stories for Gespentstergeschichten and MAD. In 2001 he founded Comicwerk together with Uwe Heinelt and Torsten Voss, through which he has published his 'Alina Fox' stories on the internet and in print. Gramsch is furthermore the artist of the cartoon series 'Slackers Unlimited' (2003).

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
