The Vampire Lestat by Daerick Gross

Daerick Gross is a comic book artist/editor and illustrator from Simi Valley, California. In the 1980s he was editor and publisher of 'Kung-Fu Warriors', 'Shred' and 'Tales of the Ninja Warriors' through CFW Enterprises, and the inker on 'Last of the Viking Heroes' for Pacific Comics. In the early 1990s he was present at Innovation with art on 'Forbidden Planet' and the Anne Rice adaptations 'The Vampire Lestat' and 'The Queen of the Damned'. He then went to Heroic Comics where he illustrated 'Murcielaga' and 'Reiki Warriors', and illustrated 'Mr. No' and 'Soliloquy Jones'. Gross did art on Marvel's 'Excalibur' in 1994. He also illustrated the well-known sexuality guide 'Guide to Getting it On'. Gross works on his commercial art through his own firm Studio G since 1989.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
