Juanjo Guarnido

Juanjo Guarnido got his degree in fine arts in Grenade. He cooperated on several local fanzines. He also created several illustrations for Comics Forum at the Spanish Marvel. He settled in Madrid, where he worked in animation for three years. At the animation studios, he met Juan Diaz Canales, with whom he started the comics series 'Blacksad' in 2000. He moved to Paris in 1993, where he began to work for the Walt Disney Studios as a lay-out man and animator.
