Mirnav by Sinan Gurdagcik

Turkish comic artist Sinan Gürdağcık was born in Edirne. He enrolled at the Devlet Güzel Sanatlar Academy in Istanbul in 1972, where he studied sculpting. His first cartoons were published in Ustura, the humor supplement of the newspaper Gunaydin. By 1973 he was also publishing in Salata, followed by contributions to Gırgır, Çarşaf and Çivi.

From 1979, he was worked as an independent (comic) artist for publications like Hayat, Ses, Hey, Tele Magazin, Bravo, Elele, Milliyet Gazetesi Mizah Sayfası, Milliyet Çocuk, Milliyet Kardeş, Çekirge and Türkiye Çocuk. Among his most notable comic characters are 'Mırnav', 'Çomar', 'Murat 132', 'Pompacı Kamil', 'Volkmen Vedat', 'Meloş', 'Süpürmen' and 'Kenan The Berber'.
