Of the Cobra - Prologue, by John Haack

John Haack received his art training at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree in fine arts with a major in oil painting. John studied the fundamentals of art, design, composition, figure drawing, and different approaches to painting. During his seldom free time he studied the paintings at the Art Institute Museum. He admires the different ideas artists had throughout time, and the mastery and control they had with their drawing and painting. The experience still compels him to use his own imagination and creativity, and to apply a scientific and practical method of craftsmanship. "The end result, I hope," said John, "will be a work of art that is challenging and capable of satisfying the tastes of you, the viewer."

John Haack works for ShaddowFish Comics, the company that publishes the mysterious 'Of the Cobra' series. This comic, which is presented as an adaptation of recently discovered ancient writings, presents the mythology of the rise of both Kali and Pandava cultures, an exhaustive history of the striking development in the pre-antique world. John Haack is the penciler of these stories, written by Dave Dentler and inked by Ken Anderson.
