Vilhelm Hansen

Vilhelm Hansen started illustrating his wife's children's books in the 1940s. He also started the weekly comic strip 'Firlingerne' ('The Quadruplets') for the magazine Hjemmet. He began his famous children's comic 'Rasmus Klump' ('Petzi') in 1951. This series, written by his wife Carla, is one of the most successful children's comics in the world. It has been translated into several European and Asian languages and was adapted into a series of animated cartoons.
