Jack Point (Comic Special 94, 1994)

Vladimír Hanuš is a Czech artist, photographer and illustrator. He graduated from high school in his hometown Rychnov and then attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. He received a scholarship from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation in New York in 1996. He has exhibited his fine art, that varies from spiritual abstract work to landscape paintings (or a combination of the two), in Czechia and abroad. He drew comic stories for Kometa and Kometa, DobrodruÅūství pod lavicí in the early 1990s, and to Aargh! in 2001. His western comic 'Jack Point' was published in the workbook 'Comics special 94'.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
