Kleine Man by Ronald van der Heide
Kleine Man

Ronald van der Heide was born and raised in Wijk bij Duurstede. He studied landscape architecture and now works as a landscape architect for Copijn Utrecht. In his spare time, he draws comics which he originally published in the Utrecht comics magazine De Inktpot since 2004. The main character in his comics is generally the average guy and his search for success, fame and money. Another character is the "little man", who is no bigger that a flowerpot.

He has a regular comics column in Blauwe Kamer, a magazine for landscape architecture and urban planning. He has collected several of his comics in self-published books like 'Kleine Vriend' (2006) and 'En publique' (2008).

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
