Sytze Henstra

Sytze Henstra was a Dutch illustrator, born in Sneek, who spent most of his life in Amsterdam. He painted and did sports cartoons for newspapers (De Telegraaf). He was the author of a comic strip called 'Hannibal'. He is the father of Friso Henstra.

During World War II, he drew the satirical comic page of Werkend Volk, a national-socialist publication. This page was not so much anti-semitic, but it satirized the Dutch people and de liberators. He used the pseudonyms Redbad and Hensy.
