Janet Hetherington studied journalism at Carlton University. She worked for eleven years as editor and production manager of Canada Post's philatelic publications. In 1995, she was co-designer of the Super Heroes Stamp Official First Day Cover. She also wrote comic books such as 'Perf and Gauge' and 'Eternally Yours: Illustrated Stories of Eternal Romance', a vampire-parody. She often cooperates with Ronn Sutton. A freelance writer, editor and artist, she won the Aurora Award for Excellence in science-fiction and fantasy in 1999.
