Saki Hiwatari began her career as a manga-ka in 1982, at age 19. She made her debut with 'Mahou Tsukai wa Shitteiru', that appeared in the magazine Hana To Yume. She was instantly recognised as a talented artists, and her subsequent works were also published in the magazine. She created 'Boku no Chikyuu' ('Please Save My Earth'), a manga series about the girl Alice who talks to trees and animals. The series was successful, and has been adapted to film. She then took 'Cosmo na Bokura' ('Internal Magic'), a series full of magic and dreams. In 2004, she created 'Global Garden', a series about the reincarnation of Albert Einstein.
