Ric Hugo was an illustrator for the Sacramento Bee and for children's books, but he has also done the comic strip 'Soliloquy'. Born in Berkeley, Hugo joined the Bee's staff in 1966, and he remained there for years. He was a courtroom artist at the trials of Juan Corona and Sirhan Sirhan, among others. He also provided sketches for articles and Op-Ed items. He died of leukemia in 2003. |
