Randall Hylkema infuses an offbeat sense of humor into all of his paintings and cartoons. In the 1970's, he created the 'Rudebarbs' comic strip for Reason magazine. Illustration credits include: Haga's Law, Haga and Acocella (1980), Introduction to Astronomy, Oriti and Starbird (1977), and Life Extension, Pearson and Shaw (1971). By day Hylkema works in the California high tech industry, where he often offers his talents for promotional materials.
