Og det var Danmark by Morten Ingemann
Det er deilig å være Dansk (Og det var Danmark in Norwegian magazine Kollektivet#7, 2012)

Morten Ingemann is the author of the comic strip 'Og det var Danmark....'. The strip first gained attention when it won the 2004 comics contest held by Ekstra Bladet in coooperation with Bassema (Beetle Bailey magazine). It is published in Ekstra Bladet since then, and also in an annual book collection.

Despite the strip's success, Ingemann has been accused of plagiarism on several occasions in 2010. Ingemann has admitted that he has borrowed a joke from a stand-up comedian, but insists in his defense that this should be seen as inspiration and not as mere copying, since the comic strip is another art form.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
