Sanguis #1, by Dimitri Jansma
Sanguis #1

Dimitri Jansma was raised in Harkstede, a small village in the shadow of Groningen (the Netherlands). He started out doing a page strip in The Riepe, the street paper of Groningen, and in the heavy metal magazine Headache. In addition, he provided coloring of the 'Ambrose' strip by Gideon Brugman and Orion Rose as well as for the comics by Eelco Koper.

Since 2009, Jansma is an artist with Drop Comics, an independent publisher based in The Netherlands. Together with artists Ranjit Dommisse, Jorg de Jong, writer Gert-Jan van Oosten and consulting editor Richard Boom, they are making comics for the international market. Jansma is the artist of the police series 'Sanguis', a comic starring Dutch radio stars Lana Wolf, Rob Stenders and Fred Siebelink.

Series and books by Dimitri Jansma in stock in the Lambiek Webshop:

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
