Pierre Joël was an artist whose work appeared in magazines like La Gauloiserie, Le Pêle-Mêle, Le Jeudi de la Jeunesse, Le Sourire, Le Petit Illustré Amusant and Le Rire around the turn of the 19th century. From 1915, he made comics for the magazines published by Arthème Fayard, such as 'Les Ailes du Moulin' in Les Belles Images.

After World War I, he returned to Les Belles Images with 'Les Nouvelles Aventures Extraordinaires de Riquet, Risque-tout et Rirette' in 1925.

For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service.
