Ersin Karabulut is a Turkish comic artist from Eminönü, Istanbul. He sold his first cartoon to Pişmiş Kelle magazine at age 16 and continued to contribute to this magazine thereafter. He did his first contributions to Lombak and Penguin while studying at the Faculty of Fine Arts from Mimar Sinan University. He was one of the originators of Uykusuz  magazine in September 2007, together with Yiğit Özgür and Memo Tembelçizer.

Karabulut started to contribute continuing stories to both Penguen and Uykusuz, drawing his influences from autobiographical elements. Publishers like Doğan Kitap and Mürekkep Yayınları have published his work in graphic novels like 'Sandik içi' (2005), 'Sevgili Günlük' (2010), 'Sandik içi' (2011) and 'Korkuluk' (2012).

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
