Diederick van Kleef is active as an author of art books since 1977. He also runs a small antique bookstore in Amsterdam. In the 1970s he was one of the contributor to In De Gekleurde Omelet, a quarterly comics magazine edited by future Studio Arnhem founders René Meulenbroek and Hanco Kolk.
