Franciszek Kostrzewski

Franciszek Kostrzewski is among the first Polish comics artists that emerged from the satirical magazines Tygodnik Ilstrowany and Klosy. Among those first artists, Kostrzewski stood out for his recognizable characters and satirical representation of the Polish "fin de siècle" sentiments of the late 19th century. His career ran for about 50 years, paving the way for new generations of Polish comics artists.
