Diablo: Sword of Justice
Joseph Lacroix was born in Toulouse into an artistic family. It was through Mike Mignola's 'Hellboy' that he decided to become a comic artist. He published his first efforts in the fanzine Black Out, supported by Olivier Ledroit and Georges Bess. He had his first professional publication in the collective comics projects 'Vampires' by Éditions Carabas, while studying Decorative Arts in Paris. He created the heroic fantasy comic 'L'Encyclopédie du Mal' together with his art school friend Grégory Maklès for Soleil in 2004. He then teamed up with Gabriel Delmas to create another heroic fantasy series for Carabas, 'Pythons' (2007-2009). He was subsequently asked to draw the 5-issue mini-series 'Diablo: Sword of Justice' for DC Comics.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over
12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop.
However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
