Jordi Lafebre studied comic art at the Joso school in his birth city Barcelona, and also attended the Fine Arts faculty of the University of Barcelona. He has been working as a comic artist and illustrator since 2001. He has contributed to a variety of Spanish magazines, such as Mister K, for which he drew the comic 'El Mundo de Judy' from scripts by Toni Font.

Lafebre is also active for the French market. He has worked with scriptwriter Zidrou on some comic stories for Spirou magazine, the collective album 'La vieille dame qui n'avait jamais joué au tennis et autres nouvelles qui font du bien', before creating the graphic novel 'Lydie' for Dargaud in 2010. In addition to his activities as a comic artist, Jordi Lafebre is also an art teacher.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
