
A self-taught artist, Philippe Larbier began his career as a draughtsman under the pseudonym Pehel. He created the album 'Bornéo' at Week-End Doux, followed by the series 'Le Chevallier de Maison Blanche' in cooperation with the scriptwriter Goube at Glénat. In addition, he began a career as a press illustrator at La Nouvelle République du Centre-Ouest. He began a collaboration with Le Journal de Mickey in 1993, where he illustrated several stories with Disney characters, mostly scripted by Jean-Paul Jennequin. Larbier illustrated some 'Guides en BD' in cooperation with Éric Dérian at La Sirène, before he started his series 'Ninja' at Trinkel.
