Le Journal de Carmilla
Born in Metz, Laureline Michaut's work came to attention through her weblog. After her studies in cinema, she began to work as an illustrator. She published her first work in the children's publications of Éditions Koutchoulou. She met Spirou editor-in-chief Thierry Tinlot at the Angoulême festival in 2004, who gave her the opportunity to fill the section '33 Rue Carambole' together with the artists Cha and Mélaka.
In 2005 and 2006 she drew two short stories for Spirou from scripts by Thiriet, and she was additionally present in Psikopat. In 2006 she and writer Lorris Murail began their album series 'Le Journal de Carmilla' with publisher Vents d'Ouest. In 2009, she published her comics diary, 'Un crayon dans le cour...', with Vraoum! publishers.
