Le Bocain worked for the early 20th century magazines of the publisher Offenstadt. He was one of the main contributors to L'Illustré à Cinq Centimes (1905), together with Norwins. He also worked for Le Pêle-Mêle from 1902 to at least 1905. Prior to this, he was present in Le Polichinelle.
