Lee Doo-ho

Lee Doo-ho was born in Korea in 1943. He is called "a traditional comic artist", because of his strong engagement with depicting ancient tradition in his work. A thorough historical researcher, he fills his stories with information about ancient social systems, customs and costumes.

He attended the University of Fine Arts in Hongik, and learned the finer points of the profession from Park Ki-jeong in 1968. His professional debut, 'The Invisible Man' appeared a year later. He created among others the comics 'Meoteol Dosa and Ttomae', 'Im Keok-jeong' and 'Jemari', which appeared in newspaper Sports ChoSun. He is also a teacher at the University of Sejong.
