Little Joe (8/2/1942)
Robert "Bob" Leffingwell was the brother of Ed Leffingwell, the creator of the 'Little Joe' Sunday page. He continued the strip after the death of his brother in 1936 and continued it until 1972. Earlier, he had already succeeded his brother as the assistant of his uncle Harold Gray. He also did art for 'Little Orphan Annie' for a short time after 1968. In the 1930s he has done comic book art for companies like Centaur ('Evidence Eddy', 'Taint So!') and National Periodicals ('It's A Dern Lie', 'Sagebrush 'n' Cactus', 'Sir Loin of Beef').
