Labiénus, by Christian Léger

Christian Léger was born in Brive-la-Gaillarde. His father was in the army, and the Léger family has lived in Germany, Morocco and eventually Clermont-Ferrand over the years. At the age of 21, Christian settled in Lyon to study at the École Emile Cohl, where he graduated four years later. Finding it difficult to get art assignments, he went to work in the security field. For four years, he worked on his own comics and children's books projects in his spare time. Finally, in 2004, the publishing house Poisson Soluble published his book 'Cours', which he made together with his wife. In 2002, he got in touch with Thierry Lamy, with whom he created the comics series 'Labiénus'. This series is published by the publishing house Theloma since 2004.

Series and books by Christian Léger in stock in the Lambiek Webshop:

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
