Iwan Lemaire is a draughtsman, comics artist, animator, photographer and painter, born in Verviers. He has made animated cartoons which were sometimes drawn directly on the film, such as 'L'Homme, cette Dualité' in 1958. He has additionally done a variety of opening credits for RTBF. As a comedian he participated in Paul Delvaux' film 'L'Homme au Crane Rase'. In 1960 and 1961, he was present in Spirou's mini-books section with three books of 'Titan', as well as 'Qui s'y Frotte s'y Pique'. He has lived in Paris for several years, where he worked in animation and storyboard design.
