The Belgian artist Jean Léo was the co-creator of the newspaper strip 'Les Mille et Une Aventures d'Oscar'. This silent comic, written by Martine Martin, was published in the French newspaper Le Parisien Libéré from 1947 and was distributed by Opera Mundi to other papers for twenty years. Léo left the field after the cancellation of 'Oscar'. He was also an illustrator for magazines like Fou-Rire (1953) and Samedi-Soir (1954).
