Hultrasson, by Vittorio Leonardo
Young Vittorio Leonardo arrived in Belgium in 1947. He became fascinated with 'Lucky Luke' by Morris and he soon started to copy the drawings in his school books. After several studies, model drawings and paintings, Leonardo entered the comic world. He started out coloring the pages of 'Lucky Luke', 'Gaston', 'Les Schtroumpfs', and 'Boule et Bill'.

Pushed by Morris, Franquin, Peyo and Remacle, Leonardo presented his first comic, 'Barbotine', in the magazine Spirou in 1968. Later on, he took over the series about the Viking 'Hultrasson' from Remacle for one episode. After making some other comics, he returned to his original work, coloring comics. He started Studio Leonardo, which does the coloring for most of the Dupuis series. In the nineties, he returned to drawing comics with assisting Morris on the 'Lucky Luke' series.
