comic art by Glenn Lumsden and David de Vries

Glenn Lumsden was born in Sydney, Australia in 1964. Becoming a self-taught comic artist, he has worked for Australian independent publications such as 'Southern Squadron', 'Dark Nebula' and 'Cyclone'. Along with David de Vries and Gary Chaloner, he started Cyclone Comics to ensure that their characters could be published while remaining under their own control. In 1988 Lumsden teamed up with fellow artist David de Vries, and together they have worked on several comic projects in Australia and the United States, most notably for publishers like D.C. Comics and Marvel. Together with David Heinrich, Rod Tobely and Dave Williams, they founded the Barossa Studios.

Series and books by Glenn Lumsden in stock in the Lambiek Webshop:

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
