Lunch by Borge Lund
Lunch (Rutetid #3, 2012)

Borge Lund is a Norwegian cartoonst from Stavanger, known for the office humor comic strip 'Lunch'. Born in Stokmarknes and raised in Sauda, he attended the University of Technology in Delft, The Netherlands and began to work as an industrial designer in 1999.

He turned to comic art when he partipated in a competition held by newspaper Dagbladet in 2007. Although he didn't win, he continued to work on his 'Lunch' comic strip, that was published as a guest series in the paper before becoming a regular feature in Teknisk Ukeblad in 2008.

It made its comeback in Dagbladet in the following year, and by then it also ran in Pondus. By 2012, 'Lunch' is distributed to more than 50 magazines and newspapers in Norway and abroad by Strand Comics. The first book collection was published by Egmont in 2011.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
