Man Yong was a Hong Kong artist who was inspired by the popular Japanese samurai movie 'Blind Knight' to start an eight-page daily comic magazine together with Mok Kwan-ngok. The paper, Radar Pictorial, featured an ongoing sword fight comic and became as popular as the movie. It ran from 1965 until the mid-1970s, despite the tremendous strain on the artists to produce eight pages a day. Mok and Man also started the daily Ultraman Pictorial, which only ran for a short time. |
