Zé Manel

José Manuel Mendes is a Portuguese comic artist who publishes under the name Zé Manel. He is the son of Méco, another Portuguese comic artist. In his comics, he combines humor and realism in a very personal way. In the 1970s, his comics were published in Fungagá da Bicharada. Zé Manel's style permits him to make illustrations for school books as well as pin-ups for adults.
