Ofélia Marques

Ofélia Marques studied literature in school. She was one of the few female Portuguese illustrators of her time. Her comic and illustration work appeared in ABC-Zinho for a short time, and later on, in the Matinée Infantil section of Casino. Her children's comics are characterized by a sensible style and tender storylines. She also illustrated several children's books. Apart from being an illustrator and comic artist, Ofélia Marques was a poet and painter.
