Leoncio Martínez, also known as Leo, was a Venezuelan journalist, dramaturgist, illustrator, comics pioneer and humourist from Caracas, well-known for his caricatures and the 'Pinocho' comic, which was loosely based on Carlo Collodi's character. Leo worked in differents journals and magazines, such as El Cojo Ilustrado (1908), La Voz del Pueblo, El Nuevo Diario (1913) and La Linterna Mágica y Pitorreos (1918). |
