Ikigami by Motoro Mase
Ikigami - The Ultimate Limit #6

Motoro Mase had his breakthrough as a mangaka by winning the Shôgakukan award for best young artist for his first book 'Area' in 1998. He has worked on several serials since then, including 'Kyoichi' and especially 'Heads', his manga adaptation of a novel by Keigo Higashino. Weekly Young Sunday (Shôgakugan) began serializing his best known serial 'Ikigami: The Ultimate Limit') in August 2005. The original run ended in March 2012, and the manga was adapted into a live-action film titled 'Ikigami' in 2008 with Tomoyuki Takimoto as its director. Motoro Mase's manga has also found its way to Europe through the French publishers Delcourt and Kana.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.

If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
