Adolfo Mazzone was one of the great Argentinian comic artists and humorists, and the creator of classic characters like Piantadino, Capicúa, Afanancio, Batilio, Perkins and Macoco. From 1939, he was present in Patoruzú with 'Mi Sobrino Capicúa'. He created his best known character, 'Piantadino' in the pages of El Mundo in 1941. The strip was also published in Rico Tipo and in the magazine Piantadino.
