Jamie McKelvie was born Malvern, Worcestershire. He has cooperated with journalist Kieron Gillen on 'Save Point', a comic strip for the official Playstation Magazine UK. McKelvie is best known his mini-series on Britpop, called 'Phonogram', which he also made with Gillen for Image Comics from 2003. Again for Image, he produced the graphic novel 'Long Hot Summer' for Eric Stephenson. |

He has worked with colorist Guy Major and Matthew Wilson on the creator-owned serial 'Suburban Glamour', also for Image Comics. He has contributed cover illustrations to 'Hack/Slash' and a story to the anthology 'X-Men: Divided We Stand'. In 2008, McKelvie and Gillen launched a follow-up to their 'Phonogram' project, called 'Phonogram 2: The Singles Club'. |
