Felix René Mederos Pazos was a prominent Cuban poster artist and graphic designer. Born in Sagua la Grande, he began his career in a Havana printshop in 1944. He became chief designer for Cuba's principal TV station in 1959 and from 1964, he designed many posters for the propaganda organization Intercommunications and the Department of Revolutionary Orientation. He travelled to Vietnam to paint scenes of the war in 1969, and is also known for his series of "vallas" (12-sheet billboards) on the history of the Cuban Revolution, and his mural series on Che Guevara. In 1990 he made the comic story 'Fefo el cuentero. La decisión y el valor' in cooperation with Manolo Pérez Alfaro for Cómicos. The artist died of cancer in Havana in 1996.

12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
