Mfumu'Eto was born in Kinshasa, Congo in the 1950s. He studied painting and became one of the first Congolese comic artists. In 1990 he published 'Nguma ameli muasi', but his most famous series is the one about the Mobutu regime, which consists of the titles 'Satan Aboyi Mobutu!', 'Mobutu alingi asala Satan coup d'Etat?' and 'Mobutu a ceinter mwasi na 2e monde'. Mfumu'Eto eventually further pursued his career as a painter.
