Goofy, by Miyaura

Euclides Kiyoto Miyaura is an artist of Brazilian Disney comics. He began his career at the publishing house Abril, as an art trainee and illustrator for Disney activity books in the mid 1970s. He has done art on comic stories for Pato Donald from 1976 through 1989. He started out doing stories mainly in the 'Duck' universe, but also some 'Mickey Mouse' and 'Goofy' stories. From the 1980s, he also did several 'Jose Carioca' stories for Zé Carioca magazine. Miyaura became editor and art director of the Brazilian Disney production, a position he held until 2001. Since then, he does artwork for foreign Disney publishers through the Magic Eye Studios.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
