Rhode Montijo received his BFA in Illustration from California College of Arts and Crafts in 1996. Thanks to a grant from the Xeric Foundation, Rhode Montijo was able to release his comic 'Pablo's Inferno' to a wider audience. While his love lies in working on his self-published comic, recently Rhode Montijo has been paying the rent, working on Character Design and Storyboards for various multi-media projects. An example of this work can be seen on the weekly distributed web-cartoon 'Thugs on Film', which he does not write. Recently, he collaborated with an independent animation studio in producing an animated trailer for 'Pablo's Inferno', which can be seen at his convention appearances. In his rare spare time, he enjoys painting. One day, as crazy as it sounds, he would like to create children's books.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over
12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
If you want to help us continue and improve our ever- expanding database, we would appreciate your donation through Paypal.
