Carlos Mota was born in São Jose dos Campos, where he still lives and works. He began his career at a comics studio in the mid-1990s. He eventually joined the Lynx Studio. He has worked on comics for Marvel, DC and Image, and his credits include 'Star Trek', 'Far Scape', 'Futurama', 'Tomb Raider', 'Gen 13', 'Glory', 'UltraForce', 'Journey into Mystery', 'Lady Death' and 'Bad Kitty'. He has drawn comics for the Brazilian Disney magazines by publisher Abril since 1997. Since 2003, he also does stories for the Dutch Donald Duck weekly.
