Andreas J. Mueller spent most of his life in the DDR (German Democratic Republic), the communist part of Germany. He was born in Leipzig in 1950 and studied at the Leipziger Hochschüle für Grafik und Buchkunst. In the early 1980s, he created the comic series 'Basil' which appeared in magazine Für Dich. Andreas Mueller lived in München for a long time, before returning to Leipzig, where he is one of the organizers of the yearly Karicartoon Exposition and director of the Camera- and Fotomuseum. |
