Cover illustration for the first issue of En Patufet
The Catalan artist and editor Antoni Muntañola i Carné was one of the early Spanish comic artists. Signing with Amyc, he drew for the Catalonian magazine En Patufet from the first issue in 1904 until 1938. He designed the magazine's mascot and made the illustration for the very first issue. He was also present in Cu-cut!. He set up his own publishing firm called Editorial Muntañola, through which he published the work of writers like Josep Carner, Carles Riba and Pere Aldavert.
