Mauro Muroni is an Italian artist and illustrator from Sassari, who has drawn bizarre stories with a lot of atmosphere. He debuted with illustrations of 'Batty Page' on Glamour International Magazine by Vianovi in 1992. At the same time, he made covers for Intrepido (Casa Editrice Universo) and a story, 'Dal vivo' (text Franco Serra). Then came some free stories in tandem with Giovanna Casotto. In the 1990s, he made western covers for 'Blek', 'Pecos Bill', 'Capitan Miki', 'Piccolo Sceriffo' (Editoriale Dardo), for 'Demon Hunter' (Xenia Edizioni) and erotic art for 'Selene' (Trentini). With Diego Cajelli, Luca Bertelè and Luca Rossi, he worked on the comic book serial 'Pulp Stories'. He was also involved with he gothic character 'Zydrach', a kind of telematic devil, hunter of souls. Muroni is a teacher at the Scuola del Fumetto in Milan.
