Lourenço Mutarelli studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts, and started his career working for Maurício de Souza Studios as an animator in 1985. He made his first strip-fanzine Over-12 in 1988. His first graphic novel, 'Transubstanciação', appeared in 1991. He also made 'Desgraçados' (1993) and 'Eu te amo lucimar' (1995), and won many prizes with his comics. A fourth album is entitled 'A Confluência da Forquilha'. He works as an illustrator for RPG (Editorial Devir) and the Serie Negra (Editorial Record).
