Safari Ya Anga Za Juu, by Anthony Mwangi

Anthony Mwangi was born in Kenya. At his primary school in Thogota, he discovered that he had talent for drawing. He started making comics at a young age. Later on, he went to the school for Motif Creative Arts, where he further developed his drawing capabilities. Mwangi made mostly cartoons, illustrations and posters. He is the author of the comic book 'Safari Ya Anga Za Juu' ('Deep Space Safari') and he has won several prizes for his work. Other titles by Anthony Mwangi are 'The Nairobi We Have - The Nairobi We Want', 'The Struggle Against Desertification' and 'The Alien'.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
