Urban Trash by Jeremy Nell

Jeremy Nell is a comic artist from Cape Town, South Africa. He attended the Stellenbosch University, but evenually migrated to AAA School of Advertising, where he studied Art Direction and Design. He began his career working for a mobile entertainment multinational, iTouch SA, where he unofficially became the Creative Director of their 35050 brand. He grew tired of working with pornographic cellphone content and left the company in 2005.

He then focused on cartooning and comic art. He makes the editorial cartoon 'Ditwits' for The Times, while his comic strip 'Urban Trash' is published in magazines and newspapers around South Africa, Namibia and the UK.

Since 1999, Lambiek presents the Comiclopedia as a free service to comic fans from all over the world. The database has expanded to over 12,000 biographies of international comic artists, and also has an extensive Dutch section about comics in the Netherlands.
For 15 years, the site was funded from the resources of our Amsterdam-based shop. However, the current economical circumstances make it difficult for us to maintain this service. At the moment the Comiclopedia's sole editor works for us free of charge, aided by a couple of (international) volunteers.
